Equality Check (2024)

This was the winning idea that took us to Cannes Young Lions, beating 47 other teams.

The brief was to use digital to teach children aged 5 to 7 about gender equality. But in the Philippines, gender stereotypes begin much earlier, often reinforced by the school materials children grow up with.

Since children’s school materials are often reproduced as Xerox copies, we designed the CAPTCHA to resemble a Xerox print. This gave the execution an immediate classroom feel, but this time aimed at the adults who should be teaching gender equality to children.
